So far, The Wolf has sang a renditions of Let’s Dance by David Bowie, Copacabana (At the Copa) by Barry Manilow, The Candy Man by Sammy Davis Jr and Birds Of A Feather by Billie Eilish.

Some of the clues revealed in the VT packages have included references to being a lone wolf, reminiscing about the good old days with the gang, and having a very long career that involved joining forces.

The items in their VT included colourful umbrellas, wool, a book of bedtime stories, a spy glass and a map of Egypt.

The judges have had a go at guessing the identity of The Wolf.

The names thrown out so far have included Richard E Grant, Tony Hadley, David Tennant, Mike Skinner, Hugh Jackman and Donny Osmond.

Meanwhile, fans of the hit reality show are convinced they have sussed who is behind the identity of The Wolf after spotting a massive clue.

Taking to Reddit, one viewer pointed out: “They showed a photo of someone’s eyes, I know whose those eyes were and it ties in with my guess.

“The eyes are David Boreanaz, from Angel. Angel eyes was a song by Wet Wet Wet and Wolf is… Marti Pellow.”

Another added: “They played Wild Thing by The Troggs in the background. The Troggs wrote Love Is All Around.”

A third penned: “It’s definitely Marti Pellow.”

Viewers were quick to share their thoughts on how they reckoned the hit was a nod to Wet, Wet, Wet’s song Sweet Little Mystery.
