A MAN revealed how his pregnant wife’s doctor appointment exposed her extra marital affair in an unexpected way.
The paternity of the unborn baby wasn’t what gave the betrayal away.
In his post, the unnamed Reddit user gave some background on his relationship.
He explained he has been with his wife for eight years, and married for five of them.
The couple were expecting their first child and had recently attended a seven month check up at the doctor’s.
Part of the appointment involved carrying out a blood test on the pregnant woman.
“As I was going through the results subconsciously, I noticed that my wife’s blood type is B+,” the poster wrote.
The man recalled his wife telling him she was blood type O- years earlier.
While this may seem like an innocent mistake, the circumstances of the lie made him suspicious.
“Six years ago before we got married, I remember that I was on a two week long work trip [when] my wife told me she was with her girlfriends and she would be back by 10:00 PM,” he explained.
He recalled how her communication that night became “less and less frequent”.
When he didn’t hear from her after she got home, the Reddit user decided to check his wife’s location.

Assuming she was already asleep or “passed out drunk” he brushed it off.
The next day, his wife rang to explain the traumatic reason why she had been off the grid all night.
She told her husband that her friend had been in a car accident and had “lost a lot of blood”.
“She had to donate blood because she has the blood type O- which is compatible with her friend,” he recalled.
So after returning home from their doctor’s appointment he confronted his wife over the lie.
“She confessed to cheating on me with a guy she met at the bar the night she was with her girlfriends,” he said.
The poster went to stay with his cousin as he processed the betrayal.
He revealed their friends and family had been contacting him to forgive his wife as the stress she was under is “not good for the baby”.
