CORONATION Street legend Jack P. Shepherd has landed another huge TV role – weeks before entering Celebrity Big Brother.
Jack – who has played David Platt since 2000 – has signed up for a hugely popular BBC programme.

He is set to appear in an upcoming week of Richard Osman‘s House of Games.
The 37-year-old will compete against Gavin and Stacey‘s Joanna Page, The Saturdays’ Una Healy and comedian Emmanuel Sonubi.
Taking to Instagram, Una shared a selfie of the four contestants, as well as host Richard.
She captioned: “So much fun with this lovely bunch of people today for @misterosman House of Games! Coming to @bbctwo soon!“
It is currently unknown when their episodes of the hit game show will air.
Elsewhere, Jack is soon set to temporarily leave the cobbles to enter Celebrity Big Brother.
The Sun exclusively revealed Jack’s signing earlier this month – and he is expected to be one of the biggest names.
He follows in the footsteps of co-star Colson Smith, aka Craig Tinker, who placed third last year.
A TV insider said: “The two lads are great mates, and Colson no doubt told Jack he’d have the time of his life on the show.
“Jack will be making the most of a gap in appearing on Corrie, which comes as he’s about to be at the centre of a huge storyline on the ITV soap.

Other names linked to the show include former Love Islander Chris Hughes and Towie’s Ella Rae Wise.
A spokesman for ITV said: “Any names linked to the Celebrity Big Brother line up are purely speculative.”
Jack was just 13 years of age when he took over the role of David Platt.
He’s been at the heart of some of the soap’s biggest storylines, becoming one of its leading men.
Most recently, David has been getting targeted by gangster Harvey Gaskell, to whom he owes massive debts.
The actor rarely appears on reality TV shows, having previously only been on a handful of game shows and Ghosthunting with Coronation Street in 2008.
Jack also co-hosts podcast On The Sofa with Colson and another co-star, Ben Price – who plays Nick Tilsley.
Coronation Street continues on ITV1 and ITVX.
