CORONATION Street is going to delve into the dark past of Kit Green in a special flashback episode later this year.
Bosses have been filming scenes from the upcoming episode on location in Manchester this week as the truth about Kit’s past with Weatherfield newcomers Mick and Lou is revealed.

Our exclusive pictures and video shows how the soap has recreated 2008 with three younger actors taking over the roles.
In one dramatic scene, young Kit and Mick are chased by police after apparently stealing a bag.
And while one of them gets away, the other is caught but left screaming that he didn’t do anything.
Other pictures show a young Lou with Kit outside a pub.
Viewers have watched how Kit has hidden his dark side since arriving in Weatherfield last year.
The police detective has been seen planting evidence on innocent suspects, blackmailing criminals into handing over cash to avoid arrest, and terrorising people who get in his way.
He’s also manipulated Daisy Midgelely into bed and seduced married Shona Platt into a night or two of passion.
Revealed as the biological son of Bernie Winter, Kit was determined to have nothing to do with her until his brother Paul died with the dying wish that they reunite.
Bernie actress Jane Hazelgrove is also set to film scenes for the flashbacks.
Meanwhile Mick and Lou arrived on the cobbles by immediately causing a host of issues.

Corrie boss Kate Brooks recently teased that connection for Kit to newcomers Mick and Lou.
She said: “We’ve got some great characters coming in. They are Mick and Lou.
“They’re coming to live at the back of Chesney, on Maudsley Street, across the ginnell. They are livewires, they are ruffians, they are going to cause a lot of damage and a lot of chaos.

“There is a link to Chesney initially, but they are coming to stir up a lot of trouble, and open up the floodgates and unpack the past of one of our big characters, which is Kit.
“So, really interesting, wonderful and dynamic stuff that’s going to be fantastic. We’re really excited, they come in with oodles of drama. They are shaking things up.
“They’re neighbours from hell. They’re overfamiliar, likeable and they’ve got kids. Initially they develop a friendship with Chesney and Gemma, but there are other things to unpack.
“I wouldn’t want to get on the wrong side of them – especially Mick! They are brilliant actors.
“They are coming to cause some chaos on the street, and they will leave a trail of devastation.”
