The spot in Clapham Junction welcomed in customers for the first time at the end of 2024 – its 20th opening in five years.

The chain, which one blogger previously said “beats McDonald’s and KFC“, sells everything from burgers to waffle fries.

Shoppers can also get their hands on a hot chicken sandwich, tater tots and stroopwafel shakes based on the classic Dutch sweet treat.

The new London branch has picked up dozens of gleaming Google reviews since its launch, with one branding it “absolutely delicious”.

Another said: “Signature burger is a great smash and tastes very fresh. Can’t wait to return!”

A third gushed: “The best burgers that we have tried. Absolutely amazing.”

The Sun has asked Fat Phill’s if it plans to open more restaurants across the UK and we will update this story when we have heard back.

The chain opened its first branch in the Dutch capital Amsterdam in 2019, quickly growing to running 19 locations across The Netherlands.

Restaurants have opened in Amsterdam, Eindhoven, Rotterdam and Utrecht.

The fast food chain describes itself as an “urban, cool, young” American-themed chain combining culture and music.
