BRADLEY Walsh has swapped The Chase and Gladiators studios to present a brand new solo programme.

We first told how Bradley, 64, had been handed the solo show by Sky bosses.

A far cry from his previous studio-based programmes, viewers will watch Brad explore Egypt to try to understand how it could have been possible to produce such “wonders of the ancient world” 4,500 years ago.

Pyramid-obsessed Bradley will be joined by experts Dr Meredith Brand, Dr Arto Belekdanian and investigative historian Tony McMahon.

Throughout his once-in-a-lifetime trip, the dad-of-two will visit the site of Tutankhamun’s tomb in Luxor.

The Step Pyramid of King Djoser, Red and Bent Pyramids of Pharaoh Sneferu at Dahshur and the Great Pyramid at Giza are all also on Bradley’s to-do list.

Speaking about the new series, the star said: “I’ve had a fascination with Egypt and the pyramids for a very, very long time.

“It’s an anomaly, an absolute cornicopia of ideas, fantasies, everything since the end of the ancient Egyptians when Cleopatra the seventh died – and that’s Liz Taylor to you guys at home.

“Everything over that time gets buried.”

Bradley added that he doesn’t believe the ancient Egyptians built the pyramids four-and-a-half thousand years ago and has “different theories”.

Bradley Walsh: Egypt’s Cosmic Code will launch on Tuesday 18 March at 9pm on Sky HISTORY.

The former Coronation Street actor could be set to gain a whole new fanbase worldwide, with the new series slated to air later this year in South Africa, the Middle East, Benelux, Sweden, Poland, and Central and Eastern Europe.
