However, when it comes to tough stains and grime, some might think that cheaper products won’t always perform to the best of their ability.

Yet, a Stacey Solomon top tip has been shared by mums who are praising it as a “complete game changer.”

Taking to the online forum Mumsnet, one homeowner sought help after noticing mould around her shower.

Sharing two separate pictures of the corners of her shower, she wrote: “I’m not sure if this is mould in the sealant; it won’t scrape off and looks grim. Does anyone have any tips?”

Her post gained lots of attention with many confirming that it is indeed mould.

One wrote: “Yes, it’s mould.

“It happens if the tile isn’t properly cleaned and is slightly damp before the sealant is applied, or if it was applied ineffectively and moisture can get to it.

“To fix it you’ll need to remove the sealant and clean with mould spray, let it dry and then re-seal.”

But another suggested a tip from Stacey Solomon’s Sort Your Life Out show.

They wrote: “I saw a trick on an episode of Stacey Solomon’s show to get rid of mould in sealant.

“I was very cynical and couldn’t believe it actually worked.

“Super simple – put a line of neat bleach on the mouldy bit, cover in cotton wool, and leave overnight.

“The manky mould disappears! It’s a complete game changer.”

Stacey’s show is all about helping families transform their homes with life-changing decluttering and cleaning hacks.

In one of her latest episodes, Stacey and her team of professionals cleaned and organised a home.

Cleaning expert Iwan Carrington was on hand to give a very handy hack if you want to leave your windows gleaming – coffee filters.

He explained: “These coffee filters are brilliant for cleaning windows because they’re really strong and they’re lint-free as well, so they don’t give any smears.

“If you’re a coffee drinker and you have a big sack of these in your kitchen, one goes a long way.”

Tesco is currently selling a pack of 40 coffee filters for £1.30, which works out at 3p per one.
