FOR most people, cheating is the worst thing they could ever imagine their partner doing.
However, one man’s reality went from bad to worse when he discovered who his girlfriend had cheated with.
In a Reddit post, the unnamed user offered some background on his family before detailing his partner’s betrayal.
“I was a young dad, me and my now late wife had my son before we were even 17,” he explained.
He shared how “tough” he has found life as a single dad since his wife passed away at just 22.
“I think up until this I did my best,” the original poster told his fellow Reddit users.
He explained that he previously didn’t have time to pursue romantic relationships.
“I threw myself into being a dad and concentrating on my business,” he said.
He explained that there was “never anyone serious enough to introduce my son to.”
However, three years ago he met his girlfriend and was soon “head over heels.”
“The first six months or so were more casual but when we realised we loved each other, we made it official,” the Redditor recalled.
He revealed that he had intended to take the next step before she admitted to the shocking affair.

The happy dad had hoped to ask his 17-year-old son to be his best man on the big day.
Despite their seemingly happy situation, the poster recalled his initial hesitance over introducing his new partner and son.
“I didn’t introduce them at first due to not being sure how he’d take it, so we waited a while,” he explained.
“But after they met last year, we’ve all hung out and everything was all good.”
Since then, the two had no interacted much as his son had left for university.
However, the Reddit user picked up on a strange shift in his girlfriend’s behaviour.
“I’ve noticed as the past couple of weeks have gone on, she’s been a bit quiet and moody,” he said.
“I’ve asked her and she put it down to being overwhelmed.”
The man also noticed his son had become a “bit withdrawn” but just assumed he was busy with college life.
However, when his girlfriend’s mood didn’t change, he eventually “called her out on it.”
“She broke down and admitted she cheated on me. Just like that,” he said.
His “shock” was magnified when she revealed who she had cheated with.
She revealed that she “was out with her mates” months previously and had “bumped into” her boyfriend’s in the pub.
The pair got drunk and ended up getting intimate in the back of a taxi at the end of the night.
The dad revealed: ” She was out with her mates and she bumped into my son in the pub.
“They got p*ssed, shared a taxi, and ended up drunken f**king.”
He revealed that he threw her out of his house at the revelation and told her he never wanted to see her again.
“I’ve packed up her stuff that she left here and left it in the front garden in a bin bag,” he revealed.
The Reddit user also confronted his son over the incident.
“He admitted it’s true, it’s a huge mistake, and is begging me to forgive him,” he shared.
“I’ve told him he needs to stay at someone’s house and don’t want to look at him anymore.”
The Reddit user said he was “absolutely distraught” at the shocking news.
“They’re the two people I loved most in the world. I wanted to marry her, maybe have kids, spend my life with her,” he wrote.
“He was more than my son, he was my best friend. I sacrificed so much for him, to give him an amazing life.
“They’ve both stabbed me in the back in the worst way. I don’t think I’ll ever forgive them ever again.
“They’re welcome to each other as far as I’m concerned. I feel so hurt.”
