IT seemed like a good idea at the time, after a few glasses of wine.
But one woman has shared a hilarious warning to others not to fake tan after drinking – showing how she woke up “two different colours”.
In a hilarious video on TikTok, Jenn explained that she’d been out to a winery with a friend, and it was when she got home that she “had a really good idea” to tan herself.
“I mean… I don’t even know,” she laughed.
“What is happening?”
Jenn then grinned to show how white her teeth looked against the uneven, muddy tan, as she joked: “I feel like Ross from Friends!”
The famous episode of the U.S. TV show saw David Schwimmer’s Ross bleaching his teeth, and leaving everyone – including his date – terrified with his gleamingly bright gnashers.
“I’m nervous to see what the rest of my body looks like!” Jenn said, struggling to contain her laughter.
“I don’t even know what’s happening right now.”
Holding up her hand next to her face to highlight the difference in hue, Jenn giggled: “I am two different colours!”
“Decided to tan myself last night after I had some wine,” she captioned her TikTok.
“Then woke up to this beautiful mess this morning!”

To which Jenn replied: “How can you not laugh at this?
“I woke up and startled myself when I looked in the mirror.”
“But look how white your teeth aaaaare,” someone else pointed out.
With Jenn laughing as she called it a “silver lining”.
“Self tanner should have a child proof lid to prevent application post-alcohol!” another suggested.
As someone else said: “Your hand is practically GLOWING in comparison!”
While others used the comments to share their own post-drinking beauty fails.
