A WOMAN in her thirties, who says she’s still a virgin, claims some people get personally offended when she tells them she’s never had sex.
Totally open about her lack of sexual history, she says she finds the reactions to her virgin status are “always funny.”

Brits in bed
There are plenty of interesting stats on the sex lives of Brits.
According to research by NapLap, the average age at which Brits lose their virginity is 18.3, just a bit older than the age of consent in England and Wales, which is 16.
Research by the National Library of Medicine shows that around 15.9% of British men and 22.2% of British women are considered sexually inactive, meaning they don’t engage in sexual activity regularly.
The abstinent woman, named Sarah, shared a post to her TikTok page (@sarahs.tok).
In her video, she said she “loves” to tell people that she’s never had sex.
Her clip has racked up over 319,000 views so far, with mixed opinions from viewers in the comments.
Sarah speaks passionately to the camera while wearing a green shirt and glasses, with her hair tied up neatly in a plait.
She said there are three common responses she receives when she breaks the news of her virginity.
Shock factor
“The first is the people that are just genuinely wholesomely shocked and curious, these are the people that are fun to talk to because they’re not judging in any way,” she stated.
Sarah said these people are “just curious” and it’s “fun” to talk to them.
This was backed up by viewers in the comment section, with one person writing: “My response: “hmm, how do you feel about that?” Then I can gauge my response. If you are good, then I’m good. If you are upset, then I’m upset.”
While several people wanted to know why, with one user commenting: “Out of curiosity, is there any particular reason or does the idea just not interest you?”
Offence
Surprisingly, Sarah said some people actually take offence to her unusual fact: “The second reaction that I tend to get is people that are almost offended by it.”

And some users agreed that the subject was taboo: “I don’t get how you’re able to say that to people, I’ve never said it out loud…”
Space alien
Finally, Sarah said: “The third reaction, which might actually be my favourite, is the people that just go full on blank stare and look at you as if you’ve morphed into a space alien.”
The candid TikTokker said for some people, she can tell it’s “just not computing,” leaving them unable to “grasp” what is going on.
Viewers react
Despite the wide array of responses, Sarah said in the comments she never gets “made fun of” for her unusual fact.
Some of the viewers were totally unfazed by her admission.
One person wrote: “To be honest, my reaction would be ‘OK cool.’ I genuinely don’t care about others’ intimate life.”
While somebody else said: “I think I’d be like, ‘Oh, really?’ and move on. But if we were close I’d probably ask if you ever wanted to or were content as is. But more in an ‘I care about your life story’ way.”
And another user wrote: “My girl looks way happier than some people I’ve seen in relationships.”
