WITNESSES say they heard piercing screams and saw three men “shouting” just days before a woman was “murdered” inside a flat.
The 36-year-old, who was discovered dead last night at the property on “Millionaire’s Row” in Hammersmith, west London, had sustained a head injury.
A 38-year-old man was arrested at the scene on suspicion of murder and remains in custody.
A witness has claimed that three men were seen shouting up at the woman just days before she was killed.
They were standing on the pavement outside her top floor flat as she shouted back down, the witness claimed.
Another neighbour said they heard a “piercing scream” hours later at around 3am on Thursday morning.
She said: “I heard piercing screams coming from that house at 3am on Thursday. It was that woman screaming.”
The woman is understood to have only moved into the flat recently.
Cops rushed to to the house shortly after 10pm, and forced entry – but the victim was sadly already dead.
The Met Police has now issued an urgent appeal for further information.
Detective Chief Inspector, Ollie Stride who is leading the investigation, said: “We are saddened to hear about the loss of this young woman and are working to ensure that her family are informed and supported by specialist officers as soon as possible.
“I understand the impact this incident will have had on neighbours and the community and we are doing everything we can to investigate the circumstances.
“Although we have made an arrest, we still need to have an understanding of what took place last night in Coulter Road.”
The force added that a post-mortem examination is set to place in due course.
