A SHOPPER has admitted she went back for a second spree after spotting Cadbury’s Buttons for just 30p a pack at her local supermarket.
Elivia explained that she’d been delighted when she saw the chocolate treats reduced in Morrisons – with varieties including Caramilk, orange and white.

She took to the Extreme Couponing and Bargains UK group on Facebook to share her epic find, as she wrote: “30p each Morrisons Welshpool.”
She also insisted that there was “plenty left for others”.
However, it was a different story in the comments section, as Elivia admitted she cleared the shop out of two flavours in particular.
“Just to add the label said ‘mega’ and these are the normal ones but still went through at 30p each,” she wrote.
“Checked then went back for more!
“Loadssss of caramilk ones still in there but I did admittedly have the last of the white and orange as wasn’t many of them.”
She added: “There was still a shelf full of Caramilk – like loads all at the back of the shelf high up!”
Elivia also revealed the chocolate wasn’t due to be going out of date until late April.
“A few of these have got 24/04/2025 but the rest are good dates,” she wrote, laughing: “It’s not like they’ll even last to the 24th in this house!”
Someone else in the comments section said they’d twigged as to why the price of the Buttons had been slashed.

“Tesco did the same and when they came back into stock they were 10/20 grams smaller but still £1.75.”

“We always, always miss the bargains.”
And the Buttons weren’t the only reduced chocolate causing a furore in the Facebook group.
The day before, another shopper had posted about reduced KitKats in Sainsbury’s, as they were reduced to just £1 a pack for Nectar Card holders.
Ian shared a picture of his haul of 200 bars, all stacked up in what appeared to be some kind of pantry or food storage area.
“I bought 200 bars,” he admitted.
“Not been this cheap since Covid!”
In response to another comment, Ian revealed: “I got 160 4 finger and 40 chunky”.
“Great buy – I’ve not seen them for £1 for a long time,” one person commented.
