EAGLE-EYED Adolescence fans have spotted a Waterloo Road favourite amid the Netflix drama’s gritty scenes.
Telly viewers called out the actor as he took on a new role in the gripping four-part series taking the nation by storm.



Yorkshire screen star Kaya Moore, 30, plays the role of Terry in the latest hard-hitting Netflix show, whose fearless depiction of knife crime in the UK has sparked national conversations.
As rave reviews for the programme have rolled in, some viewers have been distracted by the Waterloo Road alum.
Kaya played Phoenix Taylor in the BBC One series and can be seen in Adolescence’s first episode.
On spotting his character, clad in a blue jacket and name badge, one fan took to Reddit to gush: “PHOENIX TAYLOR!! COOLER!! NOW!!!!”
Another posted: “Didn’t even realise that was him until my dad noticed it.”
A third, left baffled, added: “Oh, I didn’t recognise him!” as one replied: “He’s huge now.”
Talking of his new role, one then posted: “Kaya Moore comes off as very passionate, I’m glad he’s featured in something so big!”
Recently, Kaya took to his Instagram page to flag his time on the show.
Alongside a sweet selection of backstage snaps he wrote: “Last week we wrapped in Adolescence!!!!

Kaya played Waterloo Road pupil Phoenix during season seven and eight.
He clocked up 31 appearances on the series and starred between 2011 and 2013.
He was the elder brother of character Harvey, with the pair living with their nan following their mum’s death.
Yet when she fell ill, Phoenix was forced to take time off school to care for her.
The family’s fortunes changed quite literally when the siblings became lottery winners.
They went on to invest in their dad’s business and promptly left Waterloo Road altogether.
Kaya has also found fame in further film and TV shows, including 2023 release Better and 2017’s Love, Lies and Records.
