“WOULD you like a cup of tea?” – in the rarified world of showbiz, it’s not often a celeb offers to get the drinks in.
But Katie Price isn’t most celebrities.
Cramming more into her 46 years than most people would in five lifetimes, she has stories for days. And days. And days.
So as she showed me around her sparkling, brand new home in West Sussex, we played a quick game of “quickfire”.
With ready answers for everything, she wanted to keep going when the questions ran dry.
From her proudest achievement to her most famous snog and biggest regret, nothing was off limits.
So the actress Rita Hayworth once said that men go to bed with Gilda and wake up with her. Is that sometimes how you feel?
You mean does JJ go to bed with Jordan? Jordan is always here, but the underwear is different. I’ve got boxes and boxes of underwear.
So that only happens when I can be bothered.
But do you sometimes feel that expectation? That in the past, men have gone to bed thinking they’re going to bed with this glamorous woman. And then the reality is pyjamas or tracksuit bottoms or no makeup. And they think, oh?
I think that’s what shocks people. They meet me thinking they have an expectation. I don’t wear makeup when I’m not working, I’m always in tracksuits. Casual, like to be on the sofa drinking tea and, like, totally not that.
But I think that’s what they fall in love with. It’s like they want to be with that glamorous person, but then they fall in love with me, and then it’s like they don’t want anyone else to see me like it.
And that’s when I’m like, but you know my past. That’s what I’ve done. And then they don’t like it. That’s what always happens.
And then when I do like if I go out and do like a little pose or whatever, why does Jordan have to come out? It’s just what I do. But I’m an exhibitionist.
I always will be. I love getting my kit off for photoshoots. I love doing photoshoots, but when I’m not doing that, I’m just very chilled, laid back.
Proudest achievement?
If it’s personal, kids.
Career, I would say because there’s so many, it would have to be being the first English girl to be on the front cover of American Playboy and touring America with Hugh Hefner, because that was quite amazing.
Biggest regret?
The men I’ve met. And Eurovision.
Can you sing?
Can I sing? This is the thing, I’m not a singer. Nowadays, I’m actually getting booked so much for singing gigs because I like to sing live.
Because in the past when I have done singing, people have done something to the microphone to make it sound like I can’t sing and then put it out on YouTube.
One of my goals this year I’m releasing an album called Katie’s Big Bangers.
So my Big Bangers album is all covers of all the stuff that we all loved back in the 90s, 80s. That’s why it’s called Katie’s Big Bangers.
Most famous man you’ve snogged?
Who last slid into your DMs? Famous, that you can say?
It probably would be Chloe Ferry because she couldn’t get hold of me on WhatsApp, so she tried me on Instagram.
How many times a year do you get Botox?
Two…or three?
WeightWatchers or a fat jab?
WeightWatchers, because you got food.
What was the happiest day of your life?
Oh, there’s so many. Having kids. Um, my first wedding, because it was magical.

Well, I do both. Double action.
Money or fame?
Fame’s not what it’s made out to be. And you need money to make the world go round. So I’d say money.

How long does it take you to get ready for morning?
Oh, two minutes. I’m so quick because I’ve… I haven’t even got makeup on now. My eyebrows are already done. Eyelashes on. And my skin’s always been good.
Last TV show you binged?
Well, I’m watching Love Island. But then before that, I’m watching – don’t laugh – Killers Caught on Camera.
I’m a Celebrity or Big Brother?
I’m a Celebrity. I think my kids – Junior, Princess – have to do I’m a Celebrity. It’s a no-brainer. They’re the only kids that have come from this show.
So if producers ask them to go on it, would you give them your blessing?
Yes. And if they want me to go on it again, I would do it. I think it’s the best show going.
What’s the weirdest job offer you’ve had?
When I was painted to be part of a man’s face. So imagine artwork, and I was body-painted to fit in, to be part of the face. That was one of the first jobs I ever did.
What’s the most you’ve ever got paid for a private gig?
I got paid quite a lot to go to the Venice Ball. I can’t remember how much, but I know it was a lot at the time.
