Sitting down with Alya in the Rovers, Yasmeen told her: “I had a call from the charity, someone dropped out and they want me to start immediately.
“I can’t just leave, and I don’t have anywhere to live down there.”
But Alya told her that she could stay with Zeedan until she’s sorted and that she would look after the restaurant until her share is sold.
“Do not pass up this opportunity,” Alya told her grandmother.
“I better go and pack then,” Yasmeen said rushing out.
But she wasn’t gone for long as she soon returned to the Rovers to tell Alya that in the brief time she’d ben away, she’d managed to sell her share of Speed Daal to Leanne Battersby.
Later in the restaurant, Yasmeen’ friends – and Leanne – gathered to say goodbye.
“I’m going to miss you all,” said Yasmeen. “You’ve been my true friends.”
“Will you please look after my plants, just until I can get my own place and move everything down?” she asked Alya as she packed up her car.
