VICKY Pattison has been praised for showing off her real body after a “really nice Christmas” where she “drank like a sailor and ate like a caveman.”
Over the past few weeks many of us have likely been indulging ourselves in our favourite foods and drinks, as a well deserved end of year treat.

Now that January has started and we return to work some people may have begun to feel guilty about the amount consumed over the festive period, but the former Geordie Shore star has sent her fans a positive message about why this shouldn’t be a worry.
Taking to Instagram, Vicky, 36, shared an image of herself in a beige bra and pants sat on the floor with her legs crossed.
The makeup-free beauty looked stunning as she beamed at the camera, showing off her natural body.
Captioning the photo, the reality star said: “This is not a ‘before’ picture.. in a couple of weeks there’ll be no bright shiny ‘after’ picture that I proudly show off.
“This is just my body after a really nice Christmas- and I’d hazard a guess that most bodies look a little bit different after the festive season. And that is ok, in fact it’s perfectly normal.
“We spend all year rushing round, working hard, trying to eat well & do everything that we’re meant to be doing… we deserve a little bit of time at Christmas to just let our hair down!
“Eat chocolate for breakfast, enjoy a baileys, wallop our body weight in pigs in blankets..
“And naturally after that, our bodies will look a bit different.”
She continued: “But don’t allow that to change how you see yourself.
“It is perfectly natural for bodies to change & fluctuate and we shouldn’t punish ourselves for enjoying our Christmas holidays!

Vicky urged people not to compare themselves to others on social media, and to be kinder to themselves.

“I intend to move my body abit more in January, drink abit less & make some more ethical decisions regarding my diet (none of this should be hard btw considering over the last week I’ve drank like a sailor, ate like a caveman and only rolled off the sofa when I needed more cheese!)
‘But ultimately, I’m going to recognise that January is a long old month, traditionally quite a miserable one & me beating myself up over being a bit squishy isn’t going to make it any better!”
Sharing a message of self-love, she continued: “You don’t have to have everything figured out this week & be back in your jeans feeling a million dollars- we’ve got 365 chances to make our lives what we want them to be & time to get ourselves back to feeling our best..
“Make sure you’re enjoying your journey, being kind to yourself & most of all just working towards being happy & healthy.. & that looks different on everyone.”
The post was flooded with responses from fans, praising Vicky for being proud of her natural beauty.
