A VET has revealed the one breed of dog that terrifies her due to it’s “unhinged” behaviour.
Choosing a dog breed can be a tricky decision, so it’s a good idea to get advice from experts on which ones make the best pets.
Veterinary nurse Eve said that she is not scared of dogs such as German Shepherds or Rottweilers, but is terrified of Border Collies.
“They unnerve me, they will literally go head to head with a cow,” she said in a video posted to her TikTok channel.
She added that the dogs are really clever and will “outwit you straight away”.
Discussing the dangers of the breed, she said: “They will give you one lick and then bite you.”
Eve revealed that some Border Collies are “lovely” and “the nicest dog you’ve ever met in your life.
However, she added that other Border Collies are “unhinged.”
Sharing an example, she revealed that a few nights ago, she took a Border Collie out for a wee and it started running at her feet and herding her inside.
“I don’t know what to do with that behaviour,” she said.
“It made me nervous, it was trying to bite my feet.”
However, Eve added that she doesn’t dislike the breed, and doesn’t treat any breeds different to others.
She also explained that vets are often doing things that Collies don’t like, such as taking their temperature up their bum, which can in part explain their erratic behaviour.
Eve’s (@eve_the_veterinary_nurse) video has likely left many people impressed, as it has racked up over 795,000 views on the video sharing platform.
TikTok users raced to the video’s comments section to share their thoughts, with many in agreement with Eve.

“Mine was a nightmare once he turned six.”

“No idea why he just detests them.”
A third person added: “My Border Collie is the daftest dog you will ever meet.
“He runs from cows and sheep but runs at quad bikes.”
