The fire was put out after ten minutes

The driver was in the car, waiting at a set of traffic lights, when the fire started and had to be alerted by a passer-by, according to eyewitness reports.

Firefighters raced to the scene to douse the flames – with the fire finally extinguished ten minutes later.

Reportedly, no one was injured following the terrifying ordeal.

The horror unfolded on Fairlop Road, near Leytonstone tube station, in east London – as local Femi Hassan filmed on his phone.

After the footage circulated on TikTok, members of the public applauded the fire service’s quick response.

One, called Tanny, said: “The kids cheering when the fireman took out the fire makes this video wholesome.”

Another, named Sammy, added: “All first responders are so cool when they do their jobs and so casual.”

And a third said: “The kids cheering made me smile. Firefighters deserve applause.”

One stated: “They didn’t mess around. They pulled up and put that fire out so quickly.”

A London Fire Brigade spokesperson said: “Firefighters were called to reports of a car alight on Fairlop Road in Leytonstone.
