ON the hunt for some stylish shoes? Well there’s a pair you should definitely avoid, at least according to one trend expert.
Eloise Dalais took to social media to slam a certain style of heels as ‘cheap’ – and they might even be in your wardrobe.

According to the fashion whizz, clear heeled shoes, often made from plastic or perspex are a big no-no.
“It’s mostly because the wear and tear on these is really high,” Eloise explained.
And although the clear plastic straps might look spotless when you first buy them, over time they’re sure to stain from sweat, leaving them a grim yellow colour.
If that wasn’t bad enough, the fashion whizz also said the style reminds her of the cheap “princess shoes you’d get when you were younger.”
If you really do love the clear plastic shoe look, Eloise suggested going for a harder plastic, although she warned these will probably be more uncomfortable.
Or, make sure to store the shoes in a bag away from sunlight, as this can also cause them to turn a “musty” colour.
Alternatively, the fashion whizz suggested going for a mesh shoe for a similar vibe that won’t look so “cheap”.
It turns out Eloise isn’t the only one who hates the clear heels though, after sharing her thoughts on TikTok her video quickly went viral and currently has over 500k views.
One commented on the clip: “The clear heels piss me off every time I see them, I don’t want to see people’s squished feet.”
“I will NEVER understand the clear shoe trend,” another said.

But others defended the style as “timeless” as one wrote: “No I love them, they go with everything and are lowkey timeless.”
And someone else agreed: “Clear heels are amazing if you know how to dress them, maybe you don’t. They’re not cheap looking and mine haven’t changed colour.”
“I love these shoes, they elongate the leg when styled right,” another chimed in.
Previously, the style pro shared a couple of other things she thinks make any outfit look cheap.
She claimed that wearing unironed clothing will instantly cheapen your style and that neon clothes have got to go.
However, she did explain that simply ironing your shirts will make your outfit look much better and if you are desperate to wear neon, Eloise shared how you can incorporate it into your outfit, without it looking too tacky.
“It can make an expensive piece of clothing look really cheap. When you compare to this one [ironed shirt], it looks more expensive and a bit more elevated and professional,” she told followers.
Following this, Eloise shared her thoughts on neon clothes, as she slammed them as “cheap”, but she noted neon shoes can look great.
