While Fern Britton didn’t scoop the CBB crown, she’s landed big with her very own series.

The 67-year-old will follow the work of veterinarians as she goes behind-the-scenes at a state of the art practice.

Established TV vet James Greenwood will take the star through a range of treatments at The Grove practice.

Speaking about the new show, Fern said: “Every pet has their story and every owner has theirs, so I’m absolutely thrilled to be part of this new series for ITV.

“Animals have always been a huge love of mine and getting a behind-the-scenes look at the incredible work the veterinary team does every day has been a privilege…

“Handing your pet over to the vet for any procedure is a worrying time. This series gives us a glimpse of what happens beyond the consulting room door, and is full of heart, fascinating stories, and, of course, plenty of adorable animals—I can’t wait to share it with viewers!”

ITV have yet to confirm when six-episodes long Fern Britton: Inside The Vets will air.

Mum-of-four Fern hosted This Morning alongside Phillip Schofield from 1999 until 2009.

The new shows comes as a boost to Fern who went through hell after her divorce from TV chef Phil Vickery.

Fern was subjected to a “disturbing and scary” campaign by a stalker who drove 200 miles to stay in the village she lived.

The man started by sending the former This Morning presenter cards and flowers, then began travelling more than 200 miles to be close to her.
