THE Chase fans were left stunned by a contestant’s real age – while she made history as the oldest ever female player.
Thursday’s (January 2) episode saw Margaret, Willis, Aaban and George appear in the ITV game show.
At 92 years of age, Margaret is The Chase‘s oldest ever female contestant.
One impressed fan wrote on X, formerly Twitter: “Margaret at 92 giving it a go & going on #thechase. Well done her.”
Another penned: “Margaret is a star, 92 years old.”
While a third penned: “If only we could all be like Margaret when we hit 92!”
A fourth chimed in: “Margaret is looking fab at 92!”
A fifth remarked: “92 go on Margaret.”
Margaret shared how she’d moved 33 times, due to her late husband’s RAF career.
Her son Matthew previously won £25,000 on The Chase – and she hoped to replicate his success.
Elsewhere, Margaret revealed how she intended to spend potential winnings.
She hoped to fly with her other son, Adrian, an airline captain nearing retirement.

Shaun ultimately caught Margaret, despite her having a strong start.
Much to viewers’ disappointment, she was therefore eliminated from the quiz.
One wrote: “I hope Margaret gets to fly on her sons last flight, bless her heart.”
Another agreed: “Really wanted Margaret to get through.”
Aaban was the only team member to eventually qualify for the Final Chase.
Playing for £100,000, he was caught by the Chaser and left empty-handed.
The Chase airs weeknights at 5pm on ITV and ITVX.
