DEIDRE SAYS: WHAT an awful dilemma. Behind the scenes you were trying to encourage Hannah to do the right thing but she was more than reluctant to come clean.

It’s such a personal choice whether to tell a friend that their partner has strayed.

If you tell them the truth they may not believe you, or may be so embarrassed they distance themselves.

If you keep the secret, they may feel deep resentment towards you when they find out.

The other option is to ask those cheating to come clean. But they may lie, turn on you or avoid the conversation.

Unfortunately Matt had to find his ex and his brother in bed together to learn the truth.

Perhaps if you give him breathing space then explain your position, Matt may be open to being friends again.
