A MAN has sparked outrage among shoppers after revealing he cleared the shelves when he spotted reduced washing pods in his local supermarket.
Mooch took to the Extreme Couponing and Bargains UK group on Facebook to boast about his bargain haul, which he’d picked up at Tesco in Beeston, Nottingham.

“My bargain of the year so far,” he wrote.
“Ariel £3 a box for 21 pods. And Fairy saying £6 but scanning £3 a box of 21 pods.
“You only need 1 pod per wash. Also 4 for 3!”
He shared snaps of the boxes of pods piled up in the store, as well as the huge haul of the cut-price laundry essential he’d loaded into his trolley.
Despite that, Mooch insisted there was “plenty left” for other shoppers.
He also shared a picture of his receipt, showing that he’d spent just £49.73 on a total of 504 pods.
The original price would have been £290.
But, taking into account the £3 price, the 4 for 3 deal and his “colleague discount” due to working for the supermarket chain, he managed to pay less than £50 for enough pods to last him several months.
In the comments section, Mooch quickly found himself being slammed by others, with one angrily writing: “OMG, none left for others!”
To which Mooch replied: “There was loads left!”

But someone hit back: “Just because they are staff doesn’t mean they aren’t in genuine need.
“They are the same as any other. It’s perks of the job.
“You would do the same. Stop moaning!”

“I wasn’t aware you need to show a financial statement to make use of a offer!”
“Why do people post when they have cleared the shelves?” another questioned.
“Once again they will be all gone because of posts like this,” someone else fumed.
“Should be capped, like three per person,” another insisted.
“Don’t think you got enough – might want to go back,” someone else wrote, sarcastically.
While others speculated about why the pods have had such a drastic price reduction.
“Probably about to change packaging and reduce how much you get in them,” one wrote.
