A POPULAR payroll system used by millions crashed in the US during a test leaving customers unable to log in.
Sage users across several regions reported that they couldn’t access financial reports or do accounting tasks.

In a statement, the service said: “During a scheduled testing activity, some Sage Intacct customers experienced a temporary interruption in access to database servers for approximately one hour.
“This issue did not affect payroll processing within the product.
“It was quickly identified and resolved, and systems are now operating as normal for customers.”
Sage – which is used by six million companies – is a cloud-based solution that helps businesses manage payroll processes, including calculating wages and taxes.
It also generates payslips and manages employee data.
Sage going down could mean paychecks are delayed for millions of people across the globe.
The service’s dashboard shows a “partial outage” across North America, Europe and the Asia Pacific.
Downdetector shows there’s been problems since 8am.
