NCUTI Gatwa’s return to Doctor Who has been confirmed as the show faces the ‘axe’.
The actor, 32, will reprise his role for the second series amid the long-running show’s uncertain future.

Its last series suffered abysmal ratings with fans outraged by the BBC shoehorning wokery into storylines.
The Sun revealed that Ncuti is poised to quit the sci-fi drama as crew claim to have been laid off.
Bosses at the Beeb are said to be holding off making a decision on its future until the second series.
And now they’ve confirmed it will air on April 12th with a global debut on the BBC and Disney+.
They also revealed actor Alan Cumming will star in the second episode of the new run.
He’ll play a guest role; the voice of ‘Mr Ring-a-Ding’.
The character is a happy, funny, singalong cartoon, who lives in Sunny Town with his friend Sunshine Sally.
But after years of repeats in cinemas across the land, Mr Ring-a-Ding finally sees the real world beyond the screen, which results in terrifying consequences.
Speaking about Alan’s guest role, showrunner Russel T Davies said it was an ‘honour’ to welcome him to the franchise.
