A MUM-OF-TWO has hit back at the trolls who wonder if she feels bad for being on benefits.

Married mum Shania, from Swansea, Wales, took to TikTok to urge people to not ”feel ashamed” for receiving financial help from the government.

The mum-of-two confessed she liked to treat herself and sometimes buys ‘designer’ gear – which she admitted is fake

The young mother, who has two adorable sons, Isaac-Lee and Enzo, gets monthly Universal Credit payment to help the family get by – however, she hasn’t revealed the sum.

Universal Credit is a payment to help with your living costs

According to the Gov website, it’s paid monthly – or twice a month for some people in Scotland

Households may be entitled to it if they’re on a low income, out of work or you cannot work.

Shania, who tied the knot with her partner last year, wants to break the stigma around those entitled to benefits and said she didn’t ”feel bad” for receiving Universal Credit.

In a video posted on her page, Shania also explained where the tax payers’ money went – which ranged from household and kid essentials to treats for herself.

Sharing a snap of her stunning home, Shania revealed that being on Universal Credit not only lets her children have ”a cosy home” but also a mammoth collection of ”so many clothes” and toys.

As well as being able to afford cleaning essentials to keep the house nice and tidy, the Welsh lass confessed that she’ll also use the money to fund her shopping sprees.

Uploading a photo of the on-trend ”Prada” bag and numerous other purses, the fashionista admitted that she sometimes she liked to ”treat” herself.

Shania, who revealed later in the comments that the ”designer” gear was in fact fake, vowed to return to employment at some point.

”Someday I will go back to work but right now, I do not trust anyone other then me with my son,” said the mum who claimed to have ”worked so much since 16”.

”No, I am not ashamed – and neither should you.”

The mother-of-two added that some of the UC money also goes towards her ”emergency fund”, where she puts £100 every month.

‘We paid for all that’

The video has since sparked fury, receiving a mixed bag of responses – whilst some agreed that there was ”nothing wrong” with receiving benefits, others were less empathetic.

One critic wrote: ”We paid for all that.”

Someone else chimed in: ”Please don’t keep procreating of you’re not prepared to finance them!”

”Nothing wrong with being on UC, it’s there to help the people who need it and you are doing amazing,” a third chimed in.

”I worked from like 14 to 33 until I had a stroke. this isn’t the life I chose but here we are,” a viewer wrote.

”yes I’m the same I don’t trust anyone with my kids now after my child was mistreated at nursery,” a fellow mum shared her horror story.
