I moved to Spain with my husband & 2 kids – it’s so cheap that I’ve quit my job & we never worry about crime now

A MUM-OF-TWO shared some of the reasons she decided to move her family abroad.

The British expat revealed that she was able to become a stay at home mum after emigrating to Spain.

In her viral video, the TikToker listed some of the benefits that drew her family across the channel.

She explained that they were initially spurred on when her husband, who works as a specialist engineer, was offered a job in Spain.

The mother described the new position was an “incredible opportunity” for her husband’s career and said it would be impossible for them to make the move without his hard work.

The couple and their two young children also hope that their friends and family will be able to spend their holidays visiting them, giving them a “cheeky few days away”.

According to the TikTok, the cost of living is so low in Spain compared to the UK that she was able to quit her job and become a stay at home mum.

She explained how this opportunity was “physically not possible” for here in the UK.

“I went back to work when my eldest son was just eight months old to be able to afford to live,” the woman said.

Before moving, she described how she couldn’t wait to be “more present” for the children.

She also revealed the weather had a “massive impact” on their decision.

The TikToker described the UK weather as “so depressing” and explained how the weather can “make such a difference to people’s happiness”.

Living close to a beach was another bonus, as they were a three-hour drive from their nearest beach in the UK.

Their move to Spain was the start of a bigger adventure, as the couple shared plans to “show and travel the world with our children”.

If the mum, her husband, and the children stayed living in the UK, they would be more inclined to book a week in the sun for a holiday, but now that they can enjoy the nice weather at home, their opportunities have opened up.

Another benefit to moving to Spain was being able to raise her children to be bilingual, experience other cultures, and live an outdoor lifestyle.

“The UK doesn’t offer that for our children, I am so worried about the crimes, the attitudes, and the technology of today, we have a chance to change that for them,” she said.
