MOLLY-MAE Hague has hit back at the claims that her break up with Tommy Fury is ‘a publicity stunt’ for her new documentary.

The former Love Island couple announced their shock split in August last year, with the world rocked that their romance had ended.

Molly and Tommy were then hit with cruel rumours that it was all a big publicity stunt, as they continued to co-parent their nearly two-year-old daughter Bambi.

The couple then gave their fans hope recently, as they kissed on the stroke of midnight after “flirting all night” at a New Year’s Eve party recently.

The Love Islanders’ lipsmacker came five months after their shock split amid claims Tommy had cheated on a lads’ holiday.

Now, Molly has firmly hit back at claims that their whole split has been one big publicity stunt, ahead of the very exciting launch of her new Amazon Prime series, Molly-Mae: Behind It All.

The documentary will take viewers beyond the headlines to uncover the real Molly-Mae Hague.

It follows her journey from her highly publicised break-up with Tommy Fury, to adapting to challenges of motherhood, and launching her own brand.

Speaking at the event, the glamorous business owner said: ““Yeah, I do talk about that, I think it might be actually the opening scene.

“I think that for me above everything that has been the most frustrating part because I actually say in the documentary, I wish it was a publicity stunt because it would be a lot easier because going through all of this with the turmoil of a breakup has been incredibly hard.

“And I think to have those comments – and I do see the comments, I see all of them – like people saying, you know, this has obviously just been done for the launch of a brand or a publicity stunt, that is very painful to read because it’s real life.”

Molly continued: “You know, Tommy and I have a baby together and it’s very, very real, and it’s really, it’s a really hard thing that we’ve both gone through the last six months.

“I wish it was a publicity stunt because it would have been a lot easier, but it isn’t, and I think the documentary will clear up any questions of that.

“You see a real, real side to it, and it’s kind of like you’re a bit vulnerable, and like I say, I think people will be quite, not shocked, but I think they’ll be quite surprised by how honest we’ve been, so yeah.”

Molly also called it “much more than a breakup documentary,” ahead of the launch.

She explained: “Obviously we do talk about the breakup, it does discuss the breakup and we’re very honest in what we share with the breakup.

“But it’s so much more than a breakup documentary, because it focuses on parts of my life that I haven’t really delved into before.

“At the minute we’re still filming, but we talk a lot in the following three episodes, we touch on obviously motherhood, talk a lot about body confidence, running my two businesses, you know, and just doing all of that whilst having a two-year-old and navigating through a breakup has been a really challenging time.

“I do think to have the team that I have had to just follow it whilst it’s been going on so naturally and so authentically, it just felt right.

“I’ve said that about ten times. It just did. I think it really did.”

Her comments come as Tommy opened up for the first time about the real reason behind their split.

He admitted he had became dependant on alcohol following a painful boxing injury – saying “my mental health was in the pan”.

The brother of Tyson Fury admitted he enjoyed the party lifestyle a little too much – spending nights drinking to “get black-out drunk”.

This soon took a toll on his relationship with fiancee Molly – but he insisted he never cheated on the mother of his child.

Tommy said: “Cheating was never a thing.

“You can ask Molly this yourself. It was the drink, and the drink is not a good thing. You need to get a grip of it.”

“If you’re in the same spot as me, where you just think that it’s going to cure all your problems, it doesn’t.

“You wake up even worse and you want to drink more to try and feel happy again. That’s the cycle of it.”

Tommy said: “The reason why me and Molly broke up was because I got addicted to alcohol and I couldn’t be the partner that I wanted to be anymore.

“It kills me to say it, [but] it’s true, I couldn’t.

“I loved a pint of beer, loved to drink, and it is what it is.

“People go through different things in life and we all have our crosses to bear. I’ve got mine to bear.”

Tommy snapped all the ligaments in his hand back in 2019 – which lead to reconstructive surgery in early 2024.
