THE Masked Singer’s Tattoo is a legendary 80s star, fans are claiming.
After spotting four telltale clues – plus more – fans are convinced that Tattoo is a famous singer from the hit band T’Pau.
Tattoo is based on the stereotypical heart tattoos, with a feminine face as a head and the costume being a heart with flowers adorned around it.
There is also a big ribbon that has the word “LOVE” written on it, with an arrow piercing through the heart costume.
Clues so far have been this riddle: “If you want a tattoo then you surely have heard, you can’t beat a loved one with one special word.”
And this opening monologue: “Oh hello there! It’s me, Tattoo. I’m so excited to be here. This tattoo doesn’t want to be hidden, I’m too firey for that. I might look all hearts and flowers, but don’t be fooled by my appearance.
“If you asked, say, 100 members of the public, they’d tell you I’m not just decorative.
“I’ve always followed my heart when it comes to my career, and this time, it’s led me here, to The Masked Singer.
“It’s the ultimate screen test, and it’s time I got in on the act.
“I’ll let you draw your own conclusions. I’m ready for my closeup tonight.”
After listening to her singing voice and dissecting the clues, fans at home have “figured out” who Tattoo really is.
TATTOO’S IDENTITY RUMBLED
“Think @MaskedSingerUK … Carol Decker #TPau is TATTOO … ‘Heart And Soul’ ‘Valentine’,” penned one fan on X.

Someone else then added: “I think Tattoo is Carol Decker.”
While a third declared: “Tattoo is Carol Decker…no doubt in my mind.”
Another viewer then penned on the social media platform: “I found Tattoo really hard but I’ve listened and scrutinised the clues and I do think I’ve cracked her – I think it’s Carol Decker from T’Pau!”
They later added: “Tattoo – CarolDecker! All the mentions of ‘heart’ – T’Pau classic Heart & Soul and her solo song One Heart.
“‘Fiery’ – flame red hair. Lucky Charms – T’Pau song With A Little Luck. ‘5 weeks’ is how long China In Your Hand was No. 1. Powerhouse voice!”

Pufferfish – This year’s winner had flawless vocals throughout the competition. West End powerhouse Samantha Barks told the audience she’d loved every second of the series.
Dressed Crab – Former American football player turned jazz singer Gregory Porter was the man behind the crustacean. He duetted with Keala Settle, who previously competed as Air Fryer, in the final.
Wolf – Wet Wet Wet heartthrob Marti Pellow was unmasked as the rugged character. McFly’s Danny Jones, who won last year’s show as Piranha, was on the panel in the final and paid his respects to the Scottish crooner.
Bush – she didn’t fool viewers and the judges were so close, but Bush was in fact EastEnders legend Natalie Cassidy. Davina McCall came closest, guessing Morgana Robinson, who does a mean impression of the Sonia actress
Bear – another success for new judge Maya Jama as she guessed correctly that the singing Bear was none other than singer, songwriter Example – real name Elliot Gleave.
Snail – this singer certainly fooled the judges as the mask was lifted to reveal Andrea Corr. Jonathan Ross admitted to being a huge fan of The Corrs.
Kingfisher – everyone was convinced this was Harry Hill, but the mask was lifted to reveal artist Sir Grayson Perry, who is known for his alter-ego Claire.
Teeth – this character baffled judges and viewers with their changing voice. They were finally unmasked as former Bake Off host Mel Giedroyc. None of the panel managed to guess it was her.
Tattoo – despite Davina McCall saying “you sound the same” after this character was unmasked, none of the judges guessed it was 80s singer Carol Decker, whose hit China In Your Hand was a No1 hit for five weeks.
Toad In The Hole – a massive diva strop saw the character storm off the stage after the judges voted them off. They later returned to be unmasked as singer Macy Gray.
Pegasus – the mythical horse was revealed to be Prue Leith, with judge Jonathan Ross correctly guessing her identity.
Spag Bol – this character was first to be unmasked and was none other than Good Morning Britain host Kate Garraway.
Plus there was one extra unmasking this season, with Giant Joel – a caricature of host Joel Dommett – unveiled as double-double Olympic champion Sir Mo Farah.
WHO IS CAROL DECKER?
Liverpool-born star Carol, 67, is the lead vocalist in the 80s band T’Pau.
The English pop group, which was formed in Shrewsbury, had a string of top 40 hits in the UK during the late 1980s and early 1990s.
The most popular hit that the band had was China in Your Hand, with them also known for the hits Heart and Soul, and Valentine.
