A MANCHESTER UNITED legend looked unrecognisable after wearing a Mrs Doubtfire mask during a theatre date.
The star showed off the drastic change on social media as he was put in the mask backstage at the Shaftesbury Theatre in London.
The retired striker was transformed into the beloved Robin Williams character with a wig and face prosthetic.
He was backstage when he tried on the costume and the show’s actors could be seen looking ammused at the transformation.
The legend was of course… Wayne Rooney.
He attended the show with partner Coleen, who shared the pictures on her Instagram account.
In one video post, Rooney, 39, can be seen having the wig put on his head before impersonating the character.
He said: “Hello my dear.”
Coleen, 38, thoroughlly enjoyed the date night as she revealed in her captions of the pictures.
She wrote: “Really enjoyed the show… Amazing cast, lots of laughs throughout.

The couple were all smiles as they then posed for a picture with the whole cast.

They have been together since they were 16 and have four sons, Kai, 15, Klay 11, Kit, 8, and Cass, 6.
Their outing comes after Rooney was sacked as manager of Championship side Plymouth Argyle.
The former Red Devils star was axed by the club in December after a woeful run of form left the club in a relegation battle.
Meanwhile, Coleen recently appeared on The Overlap and revealed Rooney’s unusal sleeping habit of sleepig with a hairdryer blowing.
