A MAN has been stabbed in a B&M store in front of horrified shoppers as cops make an arrest.
Officers raced to the Preston retailer today at 12.30pm today after reports of an assault.



A man in his 40s suffered a stab wound to his leg and was rushed to hospital by emergency services.
After the attack, officers described his condition as “very poorly.”
A man has been arrested on suspicion of attempted murder and robbery.
Cops will remain in the area of the attack and detectives say it isn’t being treated as a “terror-related.”
In a statement, a force spokesperson said: “You may have seen a significant police presence in Preston city centre this afternoon and we wanted to tell you why.
“At 12.37pm we were called to B and M Bargains in Carlisle Street following reports of an assault.
“Our officers have attended and found a man in his 40s had suffered a stab wound to his leg.
“He has been taken to hospital where his condition is described as very poorly.
“A man has now been arrested on suspicion of attempted murder and robbery and remains in custody.
“This is not being treated as a terror-related incident and we would ask that people do not engage in any unhelpful speculation.
“Anyone with information is asked to call 101, quoting log 572 of February 26, 2025.”
