FANS hailed Luke Littler as a “legend” after his hilarious reaction to hearing the World Championship jackpot.

The 17-year-old smashed Michael van Gerwen 7-3 in last night’s final to become the tournament’s youngest ever winner.

Littler achieved his childhood dream by getting his hands on the trophy, with the moment made even sweeter thanks to a cheque for £500,000.

The Nuke looked overwhelmed and astonished as announcer John McDonald read out the figure, puffing his cheeks and raising his eyebrows.

Fans loved his brilliant reaction, with one saying: “So happy for him.”

Another added: “Loved that reaction. Legend.”

A third wrote: “I think all of us would’ve had the same reaction.”

Others joked Littler, who is an avid gamer, was going to spend it all on Fifa points.

And the teen sensation wasted no time in splashing the cash, having been spotted in the Ally Pally car park handing his brother Leon a wad of notes.

His elder sibling kissed him on the head as the Littler family jumped into a taxi.

The money may well have been a classy early birthday present as Leon turns 21 this weekend.

Asked by SunSport if Luke would be joining him on a night out to celebrate, Leon joked: “Can’t do much with him, can you! He’s 17.

“He’ll go out, chill on his game, maybe order some food.

“I’ll do the celebrating for him.”

Littler clinching the £500,000 jackpot took his career earnings up to £1.5million and he is now second in the PDC Order of Merit.
