Scott Thomas breaks silence on Love Island exit and reveals unaired Elma moment – as he takes swipe at ‘backstabbers’

LOVE Island All Stars’ Scott Thomas has today broken his silence after his emotional villa exit.

The 36-year-old revealed he was quitting the show after struggling to take his romance with Tina Stinnes, 29, any further.

The season 2 Islander’s dramatic exit followed a huge argument with Elma Pazar and Tina.

After an emotional goodbye, Scott is now back on British soil and has been spilling the beans on villa life.

Speaking on this morning’s Love Island: Morning After podcast, Scott said: “I think for me it just got to a point where I couldn’t see where I was gonna go romantically.

“I tried my hardest where the connections I had and I was just like, I just don’t know where I’m going to go from there, so it was nothing to do with the argument and I just want everybody to know that.

“She’s amazing and she was like one of my favourite girls in there as well, so nothing changes that.”

The reality star also revealed he found it hard to “trust” some of his fellow Islanders.

“I think what’s my biggest regret, I think sometimes I openly trust people too easily, and I think in there it is really hard because people take their moments in there sometimes,” he said.

“I’m just such a pure hearted guy that I just trust everyone and I think that was my biggest thing… I can’t just give everything away straight away.

“People (have) got to earn that trust a little bit and I think that’s my only kind of lesson from the whole experience.”

He had reportedly been top of All Stars bookers’ wish list for the 2024 season but turned them down. 

Scott started off his All Stars journey in a couple with India Reynolds, 31.

However, after doubts crept in about their relationship, he decided to call it off and she was dumped from the island.

A similar situation followed with Tina, and Scott decided to cool things off with her.

This led to a fiery clash with Elma, who told him he should “leave the villa” and “go” since “nothing was here for him”.

Addressing this on the Morning After podcast, Scott added: “I just kind of want to reassure everyone that Elma wasn’t the reason that I left.

“I don’t think they showed it, but we had a big moment just before I left.

“Elma was like, I’m so sorry, Scott. I said, listen, Elma it has got nothing to do with you, like it wasn’t the drama why I left.

“It wasn’t nothing to do with that, I can take the heat and I know that she didn’t mean anything by it, she was being a girl’s girl.”
