Linda, 66, last appeared alongside Lesley Joseph and Pauline Quirke in the hit show in December 2020.

She also first made her debut on the panel of the ITV Daytime debate show in 2003 and has been a on/off regular ever since.

Now, the star has revealed that she will take to the stage in the West End production of Fawlty Towers.

When she was asked about her upcoming roles, the Loose Women star gushed about her acting comeback.

She told us: “I did The Good Ship Murder, and then I’m going into [John Cleese’s] Fawlty Towers, the play, for a couple of months, so I’m looking forward to that.”

Jokingly adding: “Hopefully I won’t have to sing.”

Despite having dipped her toes back into the acting circuit and her many live appearances on ITV, it seems the seasoned professional still feels the apprehension.

When asked if she was feeling nervous, Linda admitted to The Sun: “A little bit, yes.”

“Because I haven’t done stage for a little while. I’m going to see it on Friday night, and then we start [the live shows] in probably May/June.”

This comes as Linda attended the exclusive press night of The Last Laugh at the Noel Coward Theatre, which runs for the next month only.

Linda previously opened up on her return to drama as she will star in the Channel 5 drama, The Good Ship Murder.

She began work abroad on the new project alongside former X Factor winner and Corrie hunk, Shayne Ward.

“I’ve just won a part in Murder on the Ship or whatever it is called that Shayne Ward does,” she told us.

“So yeah, I’m going to be doing eight days of filming for that in Malta.”

Linda continued: “Hopefully I don’t die!

“My character’s name is Elsa and I think I play a cabin steward and I’m filming that in March.

“I’ve met Shayne quite a few times too – he’s been a guest at Loose Women but apparently he sings in every episode doesn’t he?”
