ICELAND shoppers are going wild after finding out the retailer is selling new giant tubs of ice cream based on a classic lolly.
The budget supermarket is stocking cartons of Carte D’Or Solero, combining passion fruit and mango puree with vanilla ice cream.
The 825ml tub, selling for £3.75 and based on the classic Solero lolly, has gained major traction on Facebook.
The Newfoodsuk page uploaded a picture of one of the tubs on sale at an Iceland branch and thousands have liked and commented on the post.
Plenty of shoppers are keen to give the family-sized pack a try while some already have.
One said: “I will have to get this, I love the lollies!”
Another added: “Solero is my favourite I need to find this ice cream.”
A third commented: “I can confirm it’s sensational.”
Meanwhile, a fourth simply said: “Oh. My. Days.”
The tub of Solero ice cream appears to be on sale just at Iceland and not at any other retailers.
We have asked Iceland if the tub is a permanent addition and when it started stocking it and will update this story when we’ve heard back.
It’s not the first product to hit Iceland shelves in recent weeks that’s had shoppers singing from the rafters.

Chocolate lovers could also get their hands on Bounty and Twix versions of the iconic sweet snack.
More recently, shoppers have been rushing to their local Tesco to snap up ice cream branded “better than Biscoff”.
The retailer is selling 900ml tubs of Caramelised Biscuit Ice Cream, described as “sweet and crunchy”, for £2.50.
How to save money at Iceland
Start by signing up for a Bonus Card, the retailer’s free-to-join loyalty card which can be used in store and online.
You don’t earn points for joining up, but can load money onto the card and then swipe it when shopping.
You get £1 cashback for each £20 added as well as access to discounts and offers.
Spend over £40 in-store or online and you qualify for free home delivery too.
Those aged over 60 with a Bonus Card also get 10% off any shopping done in-store on Tuesdays.
Those with a Blue Light Card can also get £6 off a £45 spend on their first online shop with Iceland while existing Iceland customers can get £4 off a £70 shop.
You qualify for a Blue Light Card if you work in the emergency services, NHS, social care sector or armed forces.
