A WIFE shared the clues that led her to discover her husband was having an affair.
Various things in her home helped her come to the devastating realisation.
In her Reddit post, the unnamed user revealed that her partner cheated on her with their children’s babysitter.
The couple decided to hire their neighbour’s 19-year-old daughter to mind their two sons while they were at work.
Despite the young woman’s good looks, the 35-year-old mum said she was “never once insecure” about having her in her home until she began to notice her interactions with her husband.
“I came home one day to find my husband making Maggie laugh uncontrollably,” she recalled.
She explained how the incident stayed in the back of her head until one day she was changing the sheets in their guest bedroom.
“I found strands of blonde hair, no one in my family has blonde hair, I’m a brunette,” she said.
She tried to convince herself that maybe the blonde babysitter had simply taken a quick nap during the day.
However, then her husband, 39, suggested they buy the younger woman a new car for her birthday.
“[My] husband’s argument was that her car was old, and if she took our boys out it would be safer in a new car,” she explained.
She shut down the suggestion but said that “alarms were going off” in her head.

It was her fresh pedicure that was the dead giveaway for the Reddit user.
“Then I notice her toes are painted black, my husband has a thing for feet,” she explained.
“I’ve known this for our entire relationship, his favourite colour on my toes is black.
“Now I have this 19-year-old coming to work in high heels with her toes done in my husband’s favourite colour.”

She recovered deleted messages of her husband telling the younger woman his marriage was “basically over”.
“They talk about spending the rest of their lives together, how she can move in as soon as I move out,” she recalled.
The sitter went as far as to say the couple’s children “won’t even miss” their mother when they have her as “their new mum”.
“I also have them on video kissing in our back yard, they must’ve forgot the security camera was there,” she added.
