My husband cheated on me but the betrayal wasn’t even the worst part – I ended up homeless after I found out

THE betrayal of a cheating partner can be a lot to deal with but for one woman, that was only the beginning of her troubles.

She revealed how her ex-husband’s infidelity left her pinching pennies and living out of her car.

Podcast guest Jenni shared how her husband’s affair left her living out of her car

Speaking on the We’re All Insane podcast, Jenni recounted how the breakdown of her marriage led to her becoming homeless.

She explained that she confronted her ex-husband over his affair in a public car park.

However, the situation quickly escalated and according to Jenni, resulted in her ex “running over” her foot.

She revealed that her husband’s infidelity wasn’t the worst part of the situation.

After they began divorce proceedings, the couple sold their house and went their separate ways.

But Jenni explained that the money she received from the sale wasn’t enough to support her.

“I couldn’t with my income, there was absolutely no way I could afford a place on my own,” she said.

“Some money from selling our house is not enough for me to be paying thousands just to live by myself.”

She added that the depression she found herself in prevented her from getting a job.

“I was literally not even capable of waking up at a decent time during the day,” she recalled.

Jenni said that he had left her “abandoned” to the point where she had to live out of her car.

She described how living out of a car “was something I always thought was cool and fun.”

“I see people living in their cars and I’ve always wanted to do it but I thought I’d be doing it with a partner or because of a good situation,” she explained.

However, Jenni said that she ended up doing it to save money and eventually even cashed in with car life content.

She also revealed how it ended up helping her mental health, forcing her to get up early in the morning to move her car or find a public bathroom.

Since then, Jenni has met a new partner and stopped living out of her car over safety concerns.

Podcast listeners shared their thoughts on her experience in the comments section.

“This is so triggering, I honestly feel horrible for Jen. I’m sorry she went through that. That sounds so traumatizing,” wrote one commenter.

“Oh hell no. Ladies, this is why you don’t rely on no man for finances. BE INDEPENDENT FINANCIALLY,” said another YouTube user.

“Just commenting to say thank you for being so vulnerable and sharing all of this. Sending you love,” commented a third person.
