One foodie was left beaming when in her local Tesco petrol station, when she spotted that 360g bars of Cadbury chocolate had been discounted.

Whilst the large bars were originally priced at a whopping £5 each, Harriet Eaveson was overjoyed to see that they were now being sold for just £1.25 – yes, you heard that correctly. 

Thrilled with the £3.75 saving, Harriet took to social media to alert others to the ‘reduced to clear’ deal, leaving many totally stunned. 

Posting on Extreme Couponing and Bargains UK, a private Facebook group with 2.6 million members, Harriet uploaded a picture of her finds and explained: “Cadbury’s 360g bar of chocolate reduced to clear from £5 down to £1.25.”

Harriet then confirmed that she spotted the large ‘thank you’ chocolate bar in her local petrol station in Glossop, Derbyshire.

Whilst the 360g bar is sure to be a perfect treat for all the family to share, savvy savers also thought it would be great as a gift for a loved one on 30th March. 

Social media users were left open-mouthed by the impressive deal – and Harriet’s post has quickly racked up 292 likes and 70 comments. 

Foodies quickly raced to the comments, eager to express their thoughts on the purse-friendly chocolate bars.

One person said: “Good for Mother’s Day if the date’s OK.”
