A THRIFTY man has revealed how he gave his home more privacy without forking out for new curtains.
Although curtains are essential to keep strangers’ eyes out of your home, there’s no denying they can often be a pricey addition – especially if you want a full-length set.


However, one Facebook user, Chris Lamb, recently revealed how he used an affordable online bargain as an alternative.
According to Chris, who’s currently in the process of renovating his home, he wasn’t able to afford curtains and needed to come up with a solution for the meantime.
After some scrolling on the mega marketplace Amazon, the online shopper stumbled across gorgeous rainbow window film – that was scanning for less than a tenner.
He told fellow home interior fans on the popular DIY On A Budget Official page that you can also find the same bargain buy on rival eBay.
The best part? Not only do the windows now look gorgeous and have a nice pop of colour, Chris also added that it was a faff-free process to apply them.
He said in his post: ”Easy to put on with water and a bit of washing-up liquid in a spray.”
According to the description online, this privacy window film can stick to the glass without any glue.
Due to technology of static, it’s easy to install and shoppers ca use it over and over again.
One the film has been removed, you won’t have to worry about sticky residue, the online listing claimed.
Another great feature is that the purse-friendly window film can block out a whopping ”84% UVA rays and 99% UVB rays”.
