If you get your hands on a heated blanket, you can do the same.

Posting to her TikTok account, @moneymumofficial, she told viewers: “Now, the heating bill in our house is absolutely through the roof, and it’s cold.”

In the video she holds a box containing a heated blanket, which you can get for just £29.99 from Aldi.

She says: “Basically, I’ve put this on the sofa and I’ve put it like you’ve got in your car.

“Now I’ve got my own heated seat in the lounge and I can keep the heating off – and this is costing me just 1p to 2p an hour.”

She simply threw her heated blanket over her sofa and neatly tucked it in around the edges.

Then she showed herself getting comfy and switching the blanket on underneath her.

Thanks to the blanket keeping her snug, she had no need to turn her heating up – saving money on her energy bills.

However, some viewers warned against leaving the blanket for a long time.

“Careful leaving it on too long, I had one years ago that burned my couch,” someone commented.
