DEAR DEIDRE: I BECOME angry and get into bad moods if I don’t have regular sex.

I am a 27-year-old man. My girlfriend is 25 and we have been together for three years.

We are very much in love and get on well as a couple but we only have sex on average once a fortnight, if I am lucky.

She doesn’t seem to mind and thinks that is enough, but it isn’t for me.

For the first couple of years our sex life was brilliant. We couldn’t get enough of each other but then it went downhill.

I have tried talking to her but she doesn’t think it’s a problem.

She says only new couples are all over each other.

When we don’t have sex I become grumpy which is upsetting for her.

I can’t go on like this but the last thing I want is for us to break up.

I don’t know what to do.

DEIDRE SAYS: Your feelings of frustration will only grow if you carry on as you are.

Find a moment to talk to your girlfriend again.

Ask her what has changed and what would help arouse her interest.

Perhaps the problem is the way you are having sex.

It may be why she seems to have lost interest, or perhaps it could coincide with something such as extra stress at work.

My support pack If She Doesn’t Want Sex suggests solutions.
