Why did Grace from Love Island break up with Marcus Rashford?

MANCHESTER model Grace Jackson has been turning some heads since she made her entrance into the Love Island villa as an All Star.

Bombshell Grace has returned for her second shot at finding love after her recent split from the Manchester United star, Marcus Rashford.

Why did Grace split up with Marcus Rashford?

Grace started dating the Premier League footballer Marcus Rashford in 2024.

The former islander had been on multiple dates with the Manchester United forward in and around the Cheshire area.

Despite predictions that the pair could be a power couple, their romance was short-lived.

In late December 2024, Grace dumped the Man Utd star and unfollowed him online after she come to the conclusion that Marcus wasn’t “serious about her”.

A source revealed: “Grace realised that Marcus wasn’t serious about her and has unfollowed him on Instagram.

“She realised there was no future so she has decided to cut ties.

“When the opportunity arose to take part in Love Island All Stars this winter Grace jumped at the chance, she is still young in her career and is keen to maximise the exposure to help with her modelling work and net campaign deals.

“If she finds love on the show that’s a bonus, especially since she didn’t meet a suitable match in the summer.

Who did All Star Grace couple up with first?

Grace entered the Love Island villa on Monday January 20, 2025.

The model didn’t waste no time in putting the graft in.

Within minutes of entering the villa she pulled Casey, Luca and Nas for a chat, alerting the other on-looking islanders that she means business.

In an episode that aired on Tuesday January 21, 2025 the islanders were asked to gather around the firepit.

Bombshells Grace and Ron were then asked to steal someone they would like to couple up with.

To everyone’s delight, Grace chose to couple up with Luca Bish who admits to have had a hard time finding a connection in his first week of returning to the villa.

In this episode Ron Hall chose to couple up with Kaz.

Viewers were asked to vote for their favourite couple via the ITV Love Island App following the show.

However, the bombshells will be exempt from the vote for now as they settle in with their new couples.

Grace won’t know what the public think of her new couple yet, but she is determined to set the record straight about her former romance with ex-boyfriend Marcus Rashford.

In an episode that will air on Wednesday January 22, 2025, Grace explains why she split up with the Man United star footballer.

This comes after viewers noticed she previously erased Rashford from her mind when asked about her dating history.

Who is Grace Jackson?

Grace Jackson is a former Love Islander who made a comeback on the spin-off All Stars series of 2025.

She was born on August 26, 1998, and is a model from Manchester.

Grace has collaborated with big brands including Fashion Nova and Rihanna‘s lingerie brand, Savage X Fenty.

In August 2024, former shop worker Grace, who has amassed 594,000 followers on Instagram since leaving the villa, landed a six-figure deal with fashion and shoe brand EGO.

Grace didn’t find long-lasting romance first time around in the villa so she’s back to do it all again as a bombshell.

Grace’s first appearance on Love Island

Fans may remember Grace from series 11 of Love Island.

In this series she endured ups and downs in the villa with her ex-boyfriend, Joey Essex leaving Grace heartbroken with he recoupled with Jessy Potts.

When asked why she chose to apply for Love Island in 2024, Grace told ITV: “In my day and age, you don’t meet people on face value, it’s all off Instagram, Twitter and dating apps.

“Everything’s online! I’m excited to get to know someone on face value, and be somewhere where you’re forced to have a conversation and be a bit more open.

“This is something that would push me out of my comfort zone, I don’t really date a lot. I get myself in situationships.”

Grace finally coupled up with bombshell Reuben Collins before being brutally dumped from the island.

Despite leaving as a couple, the pair split just over two weeks later.

Although the couple didn’t last, Grace told ITV: “Reuben is one of the loveliest people I’ve ever met, there’s no bad blood at all, we’re just good friends and we still touch base from time to time.”

The All Star

When asked why she wanted to return to the show for the second series of All Stars, Grace said: “I feel like at this time in my life I’m in a very settled place.

“I know who I am and I’m at the age where I’ve had enough of my single years.

“I’ve done everything I wanted to do in my single life and I’m looking to settle down and create a nice life with someone.

“What better place to do it than in the villa?”

Explaining what she’s looking for this time around, she confessed: “I want someone that makes me laugh, who’s comfortable in themselves, someone that’s emotionally secure, motivated in life and someone that likes to travel and have fun.”

Many of the All Stars already know one another but Grace is going in with an open mind, as well as heart.

She confessed: “I’ve not met many of the people who are in the Villa already. I’ve got my eye on someone.

The second series of Love Island: All Stars kicked off on Monday, January 13, 2025, at 9pm on ITV2.

The show is broadcast every night except Saturday, when a highlights show airs instead.
