GOOD Morning Britain’s Ross King revealed today he’d been told to leave his Los Angeles home as wildfires rip through the US city.

The Scottish presenter, who fronts the US entertainment news on the ITV daytime show, looked sombre as he told how his area was subject to an evacuation order.

Ross, 62, spoke to the camera from a safe studio in California as infernos ripped through the area, causing at least five deaths and decimating thousands of homes.

Celebrity enclaves in the Hollywood Hills and Pacific Palisades have been turned to ash in what officials say are the most destructive wildfires in the city’s history.

At present 137,000 residents – including Good Morning Britain stalwart Ross – have been told to exit.

He told show anchors Ed Balls, 57, and Ranvir Singh, 39, how he had had his car “packed up for a day or so” and made sure his vehicle was “facing the right way” for an exit.

Ross, who lives the next canyon along to Runyon Canyon – which has been struck by the Sunset Fire – branded the scenes “apocalyptic”.

He said: “When you’re right here in the middle of it, it’s the most destructive fire in LA history

“At the moment there’s about 10 fires going on, the one that’s very close to me is the Runyon Canyon, which is referred to as the Sunset fire.

“It’s just a couple of miles away.

“As we know the embers from the fire can just carry miles, literally five six miles.

“We are under evacuation orders at the moment, it’s not mandatory at the moment, but I tell you it’s such a weird feeling when you are packing up the car, we are getting everything ready.

“You’re going around the house, you are taking photographs, and you’re thinking this may be the last time you actually see the house.

“That’s why your heart breaks when you see so many homes – we are talking about a thousand homes and structures gone in the Palisades.”

He added: “When you get that feeling it is one of the weirdest and scariest things I have gone through.

“I have never known anything like it in my 25 years here.”

Later, as he appeared on the Lorraine show, he said: “The phone might go and I might have to run out of the door.

“My heart goes out to people.”

BLAZE HORROR

A host of celebrity mansions – including those owned by Anthony Hopkins and John Goodman – have tragically been burned down.

Paris Hilton’s Malibu beach house and Billy Crystal’s sprawling home were also destroyed.

A new map has now revealed the celeb homes under threat.

Parts of Sunset Boulevard have also been torched leaving parts of one of the most iconic streets in the world reduced to smoking rubble.

Some 100,000 people have been forced to evacuate Eaton with 30,000 fleeing the Palisades, turning celebrity haunts into ghost towns.
