AFTER discovering his pregnant girlfriend was cheating, one man didn’t think it could get any worse.
However, when he realised who she was seeing behind his back, the 30-year-old was faced with an impossible dilemma.
In his post, the Reddit user explained that he has been with his 28-year-old girlfriend for five years.
He described how they were “madly in love” and decided to start a family.
“I was overjoyed when I discovered she was pregnant, we held off on telling anybody at first by mutual decision,” he said.
However, the original poster said that he now suspects his girlfriend had an ulterior motive.
He explained that when she was four months along they told both their parents.
The Redditor was shocked when his mother reacted furiously to the news.
His girlfriend advised him to keep his distance while his mother “cooled down.”
After a few weeks, his mum rang him to explain why she reacted the way she did.
“She informed me my girlfriend had cheated on me recently and that’s why she’s upset with the pregnancy, because she knows it’s not really mine,” he said.
The poster confronted his girlfriend, who he said assured him she had never cheated.

However, his mum dropped another “bombshell” on him just a few days later.
“[She told me] the person my girlfriend cheated on me with was my own twin brother,” he said.
“This made my mother’s story make a whole lot more sense as one of my girlfriend’s biggest defences of her innocence was ‘How would your mother know?'”
The Redditor said he was “devastated,” pointing out that since he and his brother were identical twins, a paternity test wouldn’t prove anything.
“I called up my twin immediately, who denied the allegations and tried to paint our mother as crazy,” he recalled.
He explained that he has since cut off his twin and moved out of the flat he shared with his now ex.
