FORMULA ONE fans are convinced that Ferrari are going to change their iconic red livery for Lewis Hamilton’s debut season.

Hamilton will drive for the Prancing Horse this year after signing a “multi-year” deal with the team following his exit from Mercedes.

And Ferrari have been teasing the arrival of their new superstar as anticipation builds for his first race in a Ferrari car.

Using social media, Ferrari have spent the week posting short videos giving fans a small taste of the future with Hamilton at the wheel.

The clips included the dressing room label being changed to include Hamilton‘s name, a birthday cake being presented on Hamilton’s birthday and a dinner reservation card featuring Hamilton’s name alongside Charles Leclerc‘s.

As as exciting as it is for fans of Ferrari and F1 in general to see one of the sports’ greatest ever drivers join one of the most iconic teams, fans think that there could be a huge change that comes along with it.

Eagle-eyed F1 followers have noticed that all the videos feature a deep shade of red, leading them to think that there could be a change to Ferrari’s iconic livery.

Ferrari cars have long been decked out in a bright red colour, something which has become famous amongst the F1 community.

But a change to a deeper red is being routed following the video, and fans are split on if it’s a good thing.

On social media, one wrote: “Dark red!!”

While another added: “They’re eating this up!! Also, notice the shade of red they’re using…”

A third commented: “I’d be very surprised if the car isn’t that shade of red”.

And a fourth posted: “I don’t like it stick to the regular colours that represent Ferrari”.

It wouldn’t be the first time that Ferrari have tinkered with their colours.

In fact, just last year they launched a campaign that saw them go for a completely new look during the Miami GP.

They opted for a blue look that day as they marked their 70th anniversary or Ferrari in North America.
