This unique twist gives fans the power to influence how a love triangle plays out.

Viewers will choose whether Denise Fox reunites with estranged husband Jack Branning (Scott Maslen) or picks lover Ravi Gulati (Aaron Thiara).

Cast members Diane, Scott and Aaron recently made an appearance together on This Morning.

Speaking to presenters Ben Shepherd and Cat Deeley, Aaron revealed the trio have filmed scenes for both outcomes.

He explained: “It’s been difficult the last few weeks because we’ve been shooting A and B stuff so we’re in April now.”

The actor added: “We’ve been doing versions after the live.”

Ben asked if that meant filming scenes that would never come to air – depending on the result.

Aaron replied: “Yeah. It’s been double workload – for Diane really.”

The result of the vote will be revealed during a special live episode in anniversary week.

Viewers know Jack and Denise’s marriage fell apart after his affair with Stacey Slater (Lacey Turner) was exposed.

However, the pair have rekindled their passion on a few occasions, with warm moments as part of their blended family.

Denise has been seeing former flame Ravi since they shared a romantic encounter on Christmas Day.

Things are complicated between them due to Ravi’s troubled past – and his former serious relationship with Denise’s daughter Chelsea (Zaraah Abrahams).

Although Denise is torn between the two men, it will ultimately come down to what viewers want.

EastEnders Executive Producer Chris Clenshaw said previously: “We’re all so excited to give our audience their first ever chance to decide how one of our big storylines plays out.

“Their votes will determine whether Denise picks Jack or Ravi, with the outcome being revealed as part of our live episode.

“There is a lot to come over the next few weeks for all three involved, so it’ll be extremely exciting to see which way the audience choose to take the story!”

EastEnders continues on BBC One and iPlayer.
