EASTENDERS love rivals Stacey Slater and Ruby Allen unite in their grief at Martin Fowler’s funeral.

Actress Lacey Turner, 37, was seen looking devastated as she filmed the scenes alongside Ruby star Louisa Lytton, before later the two shared a hug.

The women are old pals after growing up together on the Square.

Louisa, 36, returned to the soap last year after three years, with Ruby reuniting with Martin after confessing they had a secret son.

But just moments before his death in last month’s Queen Vic explosion, the lad confessed his true love was Stacey.

Martin’s death has also led to the return of Vicki Fowler – after 20 years away from the Square.

However the role of Vicki has now been recast with Alice Haig taking over from Scarlett Alice Johnson.

Last month The Sun exclusively revealed that Scarlett was asked back to the show but she turned the opportunity down.

A spokesperson for Scarlett told The Sun: “Scarlett was approached, and was flattered to be asked to return, but the timing wasn’t right for her to step back into the role.

“She wishes Alice Haig and the show all the very best”.
