EASTENDERS fans are convinced that Linda Carter’s funeral episode contained a hidden clue as to the cause of the impending Queen Vic fire tragedy.
The BBC soap opera broadcast an eerie episode which showed Linda’s death and funeral as a means of showcasing what would happen if Kellie Bright‘s character continued to down the booze.

But now, two months later, fans think they have noticed some other sinister spots which could confirm the fate of the show’s upcoming 40th anniversary.
During the scenes, there was a focus on the lights flickering on and off and flashing around the pub.
Whilst it seemed that it was insignificant at the time, some viewers have now suggested that it could actually be a hidden clue as to the root cause of the fire that is set to turn Walford upside down next month.
Alongside clips of the scenes in question, one fan speculated: “WHAT IF… this episode wasn’t just showing Linda’s future but the future/tragedy to come this 40th caused by the faulty electrics.”
It led them to consider that this would be the real reason behind the shocking blaze.
Pictures showed a burnt out Vic with a car crashed into the side of it – revealing the horror and devastation of what is to come.
Viewers were quick to agree with the theory suggested by the eagle-eyed fan as one person wrote: “I fear this person is onto something here..”
Another penned: “100% likely [it’ll] happen.”
It led to a third pointing out: “It has been happening a lot recently. Fairly sure there was some weird electrical thing with Cindy when she was out in the snow.”
An insider told The Sun of the Vic fire last year: “Bosses are keeping tight-lipped on their plans for the anniversary, so as to not spoil anything for viewers.

“The pub is always central to the drama but this time they are taking it even further with lives expected to be left hanging in the balance.
“The 40th is such an iconic moment in the show’s history, and bosses want to make sure it’s one that viewers are going to remember.”
