A MOTHER has revealed that she ditched life in the UK and moved to Spain with her children.
Now, Jennifer pays just £377 for rent each month and lives only a stone’s throw away from a gorgeous beach.
But that’s not all, as Jennifer, who owns a business and bought land to grow and sell fresh produce, claimed that there’s no school run rush in Spain either.
The content creator, who speaks fluent Spanish and lived in Spain previously before having her children, now pays a maximum of £58 a month on electricity.
Not only this, but she spends only £20 on water and £33.50 on WiFi for a family of five each month.
Although living in Spain is much more affordable than in the UK, where average rent now stands at £1,301 a month, Jennifer claimed that she did experience some “culture shocks” when she relocated to Spain with her children.
Posting online, the mum-of-three, who moved to Galicia, Northern Spain, last summer, revealed how her life now hugely differs to that in the UK, as she claimed there is “no school rush”.
Instead, she acknowledged that “everything is relaxed”, as she expressed: “Teachers greet your children with hugs and kisses in the morning.”
Not only this, but Jennifer added: “Our school hours are from 9:30am-2:30pm and there is a lunch hall from 2:30-3:30pm where your children will be given a warm, healthy three course meal with a side of salad.”
Additionally, due to the warm weather in Spain, where summers reach a sweltering 32°C in both July and August, Jennifer beamed: “Play dates and taking your children to the park at 8pm is totally normal.”
Galicia has been described as an affordable and unspoilt part of the Spanish coast where the beaches are as wild as the nightlife.
The Northwestern region of Galicia is an often overlooked, cheaper, and less crowded alternative to much of the country’s busy coast — even during the peak summer months.

Despite this, Jennifer, who was concerned the UK had “stopped being a safe environment to raise children”, beamed: “Bars right next to parks so you can enjoy a drink while your children play safely.”

The TikTok clip, which was posted under the username @familyinspain, has clearly left many open-mouthed, as it has quickly racked up 151,200 views, 9,046 likes and 85 comments.
Social media users were impressed with Jennifer’s quality of life in Spain and many eagerly flocked to the comments to express this.
One person said: “Bringing children up in the UK is what puts me off having them the most. This sounds perfectly chilled.”
Another added: “My dream is to live in Spain, it looks so much nicer than the UK.”
