DARTS legend Phil Taylor has landed himself a brand new gig after rejecting a proposal from Sky Sports.

The 16-time darts world champion announced his full retirement from the sport in 2024 – four years after leaving the PDC.

And the 16-time world champion has bagged himself a new job

Taylor had been plying his trade on the World Seniors Tour before undergoing hip surgery.

And he’s landed himself a punditry gig with the Modus Super Series, a tournament which features over 100 matches over a 50-week period.

He told The Daily Mirror: “I’m involved with Pluto TV, who are streaming all the stuff for MODUS.

“It’s a free live stream, and they play some of the old stuff too. My grandkids love it.”

The 64-year-old will be giving his takes at the League of Legends Finals Night on Saturday.

He said: “I’ll be there, you’re not getting rid of me that easily.

“I’ll be doing some punditry, hosting the show and commentating on a few games, whatever they ask me to do really.”

Sky Sports tried to get Taylor on board as a pundit but ended up being knocked back by the Hall of Famer.

Taylor declined the gig due to the hectic schedule and his dislike of being on the road all the time.

‘The Power‘ – who is considered by many to be the greatest darts player ever – said of his new job: “It’s ideal for me.

“I couldn’t work on the Sky ones, there’s too many tournaments for me.

“I wouldn’t be able to do that now.

“That isn’t for me, I can’t be in hotels all the time. I enjoy my life at home too much.”
